Participants will riso-fy their video shorts or animations in this 3 hour risograph animation class. Bring a video or an animation––I strongly recommend something that loops. Your footage should be 4 seconds or less. Participants will learn how to make a contact sheet, color separate their files for RISO, and animate their frames in Photoshop.
Participants will leave with 10 copies of their risograph printed animation sheets, a scanned copy, and a digital video file.

ilish bath’s risograph journey began with her BFA multimedia thesis installation, everywhen. A project that combined ink drawings, digitized hi8 tapes + family archives, projection mapping and risograph animation to explore circular time, dreams, familial memory and bond. ilish prints and teaches at nůn studios—illustrating, and assisting in a wide range of art, production, exhibition, and mural services—applying a lifelong drawing practice and persistent desire to learn within community contexts. ilish’s exploratory risograph practice honors diasporic cultures, while deepening and honoring her own Korean roots.
